  4. Dear Reese Roper,
I once sent you an email about how long you were in college and it was meant to be funny, but you responded “thanks a lot”… it’s been, oh probably 12 years now… I am sorry I hurt your feelings. You are one of my all-time heroes. I never meant to hurt you. You guys are awesome!! God Bless!

  5. You are fantastic! You will probably never see this, but here’s an idea: Buy a bunch of those cat unicorn horns and get kittens “battling” footage with all of FIF.

Boom. “Battle Dancing Unicorns” music video.

The internet loves cats and unicorns…and you guys too. Win for all?

  6. Reese, I’ve e-mailed you before and I still have your response saved. I want you and the rest of the fans know that God has used you and FIF to save my life both physically and spiritually. Distant Shores is the song that had changed me the most and I have broken down before God numerous times listening to it. So glad you’re all back. I missed you guys so much.

  7. This message is really for the entire band… Never got to see you guys on tour before the break up and I was quite sad about that. I plan to catch you guy this time. Although your songs are fun and silly at times when you guys sit down and write a worship song they are truly moving. I feel that Dandelions, and Every New Day (I’m sure there are more but these two come to mind) are very raw and amazing worship songs. Each time I listen to them I am drawn to praise our Father in heaven, and I wanted to thank you for that. Keep bringing glory to God!

  10. I believe the best things in life only happen once. I am such a fan of Brace yourselves for the mediocre. It is so amazing. I also like the tv show “Firefly”, which was canceled after one season. Anyway, I love these songs so much I would love to sing them myself and keep them alive. I do Karaoke. Is there any way I can get these songs as karaoke tracks so I could sing them myself? These songs hit me so hard. Reese Roper you rock.

  11. So glad you guys are back!!! Remember the tour where you stayed in the dorms at Eastern Nazareth College? I was one of the hostesses. 🙂 I have loved your music through the years, and God has often challenged me through your lyrics. To God be the glory. 🙂

  13. Roper to create a high energy blend of post-pop-punk closer in sound to Five Iron Frenzy than Brave Saint Saturn.

  14. Looking forward to the new release
    Saw you on BadChristian

Night came and I broke my stride
I swallowed hard, but never cried
When grace was easy to forget
    I’d denounce the hypocrites
Casting first stones, killing my own
You would unscale my blind eyes
And I stood battered, but more wise
    Fighting to accelerate
    Shaking free from crippling weight
    With resilience unsurpassed
I clawed my way to You at last
And on my knees, I wept at Your feet
I finally believed, that You still loved me

    Healing hands of God
Have mercy on our unclean souls once again
Jesus Christ, Light of the World
Burning bright within our hearts forever
    Freedom means love without condition
    Without beginning or an end
Here’s my heart, let it be forever Yours
Only You can make every new day seem so new

    –Biting and reassuring….
