30 Years Already?

2025 Marks Three Decades Since We Started Making Noise Together

We should probably plan something, huh?

Got any idea?

Comments are open.

We make no promises.

That FIFDVD we did was “cool,” but that was like 15 years ago…

  1. Not sure who (if anyone) from the band reads this, but I’m not on social media, and I thought this was worth a shot. Big fan since I picked up Upbeats & Beatdowns when I was 14 or 15 at a Christian bookstore in ’96 or ’97. My faith never matched up with the faith of my parents. I was raised n a Pentecostal church (Assemblies of God). I wasn’t allowed to listen to anything but Christian music, and in some cases my Dad would get upset if a song didn’t overtly mention the name of Jesus Christ. When he heard Upbeats & Beatdowns, he initially banned it because it had a “spirit of rebellion”. I stopped attending church, and praying about 15 years ago. Long story short, we have had a series of family crises this year, that has ultimately led me to deconstruct my own faith. I drove with my 13-year-old son from our home in Orlando to your show at the Loft in ATL a few weeks ago. I arrived at the concert still uncertain of what I believe about God, and on the way home my son, semi-jokingly asked “Do you feel like your inner child was healed?” I’m not sure what exactly was healed, but I haven’t been the same since, in a 100% positive way. But what I’m discovering about myself is not the point. The point is the way you all came back together, despite believing in different things, and it gives hope to those of us who are deconstructing our faith. It shows us that while faith can be a complex, deeply personal journey, it doesn’t mean we can’t come together in love and light. Remember that M. Night Shyamalan movie Signs, how the glasses of water the girl has been leaving everywhere end up saving them in the end? Well, I feel like I keep discovering little saviors that were left out for me everywhere. Five Iron Frenzy, Jennifer Knapp, Pedro the Lion, etc. I felt compelled to find a way to share this with you, because I met several of the band members after the show, and looking back, I wished I had said something then. Hopefully, that wasn’t my last chance, so in the meantime I’ll keep checking your site for future dates. Love you all, and once again THANK YOU. Indeed, I was never alone.

    1. I think you should play 30 shows in 30 cities in honor of 30 years. But then actually only schedule 29 shows and don’t tell anyone that it isn’t really 30. None of us can count, it’s all good.

  2. I would love it if you could come to the Wichita area for a show. I didn’t know about you until my dad found a copy of the end is near and showed me Upbeats and Beatdowns and now your one of my favorite bands and I would really really really like it if I could finally hear a show from you. (especially because almost all the music I like is from late 90’s, early 2000’s bands that have long since broke up)

  3. Wow, 30 years already! I’ve been a fan since the early days, and it’s amazing to see how far Five Iron Frenzy has come. I agree with Ryan, your music has been a beacon of hope and unity for so many, even through faith deconstruction. It’s truly inspiring to see the band come together despite differing beliefs. As for the 30th anniversary, how about a world tour? I’d love to see you guys in Australia! Keep making that beautiful noise. 🎸🎤🥁

    1. The Rise and Fall and Rise and Fall of Five Iron Frenzy

The Rise and Fall of Five Iron Frenzy 2: Electric Boogaloo

  4. It’d be awesome if you played Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas over Memorial weekend! Would love to see you guys live. Or come to Kansas City, St Louis, or even Tulsa.

  5. Awesome show Friday in Columbus! Thanks for coming to the Midwest again! I brought a friend who wasn’t super familiar with you or ska but he had a blast as well. Louser and the Boy Detective brought a lot of fun energy to the show and I loved the family friendly environment and great crowd that took care of each other. Thanks for ending on my favorite song, Every New Day. I know I needed this show at this time in my life. It was very uplifting. Look forward to seeing you all again! Love your music and love you all!

  6. Idk how much financial sense it makes but hearing new masters or even partial re-recordings of some old material would be cool. Our Newest Album Ever comes to mind as one where the autotune sticks out. Might be hell to fix or redo that though at this point. The guitarist/producer for Saosin has taken to re-recording all the instrumentals for some of their really early songs and just throwing the original vocal track over that–something like that would be cool if you can access the unprocessed original vocal.

As always, come to San Antonio, please! I’ll settle for Austin if i must though.

  7. Would love you guys to come to SC (Charleston if possible!)

But your last album was one of your best, long time fan. Even a member of ol’ Frenzyboard back in the day. I would love a new EP or album from you guys for 2025… but ALSO a version of Every New Day on streaming without a long hidden track. AND! the end is near/here on streaming 😛

  8. You should make another DVD for sure.

Force people to bring back DVD players and refuse to post it online so they have no choice but to bring out the good old VCR/DVD combo from their great grandmother’s attic and start a whole revolution against streaming platforms!

It would be The War of Digital Versatile Discs and Mainstream Streaming Services!!!

  9. A legitimate tour would be amazing! I know you all have families and the logistics might be a nightmare, so maybe some livestream shows and associated merch? If there was a merch artwork contest of sorts, I’d probably make some submissions. This silly ska band from Denver has been a big part of my life since I was a wee teenager, and I love that are all still going (or going again?).

  10. I LOVE your music so so much, my father got me listening. When he was my age he said he played your first album “Upbeats and Beatdowns” over a hundred times. I am currently 13 and I am in love with what you all have done, your music its self is amazing and I love the sound of your voice to Reese. I have sadly only been to one concert, when you all performed in the loft in Atlanta, I hope you read this! Thank you so much for changing my whole life.

  11. I just wanted to post something in 2025. Keep the dream alive! Y’all rock! Saw you about 6 different times throughout the years including the final (but not really) concert at the Philmore in Denver. You guys will forever be my actual favorite band!

    1. I agree, I feel like you are a very underrated band, you will forever hold a special place in my heart, and it is good to keep you in check, cause 30 YEARS is a long time!!! I love and will forever support my favorite band ever, FIVE IRON FRENZY!!!

  12. It’d be cool if you played a show in Utah. I’ve been listening to this band for two years and I love the music! I’m still annoyed that The End Is Near isn’t on Spotify, but what can you do?

  13. First and foremost, come to Southern California! We love you here. Secondly, I think it would be cool if you guys re-recorded some songs from the older albums!

  14. So, I was at like every show you guys did at “the scream” in Concord, CA. Now I’m old and wishing I could go back and be there again, you know?! Idk maybe come to Salem, Oregon and do a show? It’s where I live now. You guys can crash at my pad;)
